Alumni

The more than 900 graduates of the Leadership Lackawanna Program, Executive Program, its founders and friends make up the Leadership Lackawanna Alumni Committee which assists Leadership Lackawanna in encouraging and fostering the development of leaders in the Greater Scranton area.

Leadership Lackawanna Alumni continue to be actively involved in the betterment of the community. The Alumni Committee sponsors educational, social and civic programs for its graduates such as public speaking seminars, stress management, computer programs and Dale Carnegie courses. The council also holds social events like outings at Lackawanna County Stadium, mixers and holiday parties where alumni can meet and network with other alumni and friends.
For several years, the Alumni Committee has organized very successful art auctions featuring a collection of fine art by well-known artists brought in by Marlin Auctions and Events. Proceeds from the art auction, together with membership dues, have allowed the Alumni Committee to establish a scholarship for an incoming Leadership Lackawanna participant.

Tax-deductible dues of $30 are collected annually from alumni. The funds are used for the Alumni Directory, various mailings, publications, and to help defray the costs of alumni events throughout the year.
