Executive Program

The Executive Program assists professionals and their spouses who have recently relocated to the Greater Scranton area or been promoted to an executive level position in making a knowledgeable transition to our community.

Through five weekly sessions, participants have an opportunity to meet key business and community leaders and to receive an extensive overview of the area's history, economic and political structures, cultural affairs and leisure amenities. Sessions are conducted one evening per week for five consecutive weeks at various locations throughout the community from 6-9 p.m. All programs include cocktails and dinner.

The Executive Program provides participants a comprehensive look at the makeup of Lackawanna County, offers a sampling of the area's major cultural and recreational opportunities and encourages individuals to become involved in community activities and civic groups.

The program is open to public and private sector administrators/professionals who have either recently moved to the Greater Scranton area or who have resided here for less than two years. Executives who have recently returned to the region are also encouraged to apply. Candidates should possess an interest in learning how Lackawanna County functions and a commitment to enhance the area's economy and quality of life.

Tuition for the Executive Orientation Program is $650 per applicant. A spouse or guest may participate at no additional charge. The fee covers the cost of all course materials, program arrangements and meals.

The series is limited to ten executive/professional Participants and their spouses or guests.
