WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT POSITION? PLEASE INCLUDE HOW LONG YOU'VE BEEN IN THE POSITION AND AN OVERVIEW OF WHAT DO.
Sophomore at King’s College
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY MOST MOTIVATES YOU TO DO THE WORK YOU DO? WHAT ARE YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT?
Being positive and helping out my community and anyone in need of community resources.
TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND—WHERE YOU GREW UP, YOUR PATH AFTER HIGH SCHOOL (COLLEGE, TRADE SCHOOL, OR MILITARY), AND WHAT LED YOU TO PURSUE YOUR CAREER IN NEPA.
I was born and raised in Mayfield, Pennsylvania, where in 2024 I graduated from Lakeland Junior and Senior High School and now I am continuing my education at King’s College to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Spanish.
WERE THERE ANY MENTORS OR INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE WHO SHAPED WHO YOU ARE TODAY? IF SO, HOW DID THEY IMPACT YOU?
I can say with the help of my parents, I am the person who I am today. My mom has taught me how to get involved with my community. My dad had always had my back and encouraged me to do anything I can to help give back to my community. My supervisor during my internship, Maria Kolcharno, had helped me so much, taking me to events in ways I can help serve my community more!
HOW DID YOU FIRST GET INVOLVED WITH LEADERSHIP LACKAWANNA, WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE LIKE, AND HOW HAVE YOU STAYED CONNECTED SINCE GRADUATION?
I got involved in Leadership Lackawanna, through the Tlt program and I absolutely loved it! It has taught me so much, and it has helped me get over my fear of public speaking. I always try to stay in touch with everyone I graduated with from the program, and staying in contact with the coordinators!
