What is your current position? Please include how long you've been in the position and an overview of what do.
I have been an account manager at Nunzi's Advertising for the last 3 years. However, I started as a graphic designer 8 years ago, and have worked various positions within the company before settling into sales.
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY MOST MOTIVATES YOU TO DO THE WORK YOU DO? WHAT ARE YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT?
We are a very visual business. It's amazing the merch you could put a logo on these days. Seeing the finished product, and the customer's exictement and joy when they get their order is very fulfilling. I also value all of the relationships, and new people I meet in this industry.
TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND—WHERE YOU GREW UP, YOUR PATH AFTER HIGH SCHOOL (COLLEGE, TRADE SCHOOL, OR MILITARY), AND WHAT LED YOU TO PURSUE YOUR CAREER IN NEPA.
I grew up in Dickson City where I lived for 25 years until my now wife and I moved to an apartment in Jessup, and now reside in Scott Township for the last couple of years - After high school, I pursued a degree in graphic design at Marywood University. I chose to stay in NEPA, and work for Nunzi's Advertising after Marywood because I think there's a lot of opportunity for success in our area, and I didn't see the need to leave it. It's there for the taking in NEPA, you have to want it.
WERE THERE ANY MENTORS OR INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE WHO SHAPED WHO YOU ARE TODAY? IF SO, HOW DID THEY IMPACT YOU?
Both of my parents were very hard workers, and they instilled that trait into my sister and I for as long as I can remember. They are the definition that hard work, and a great attitude pay dividens at the end of the day. I also credit my boss, Nunzi Allegrucci, who's shaped me into the business professional that I am today. What I have learned through him, the company, and the industry is priceless. As I look back at the person I was 8 years ago, compared to now. There is an obvious difference, all for the better!
HOW DID YOU FIRST GET INVOLVED WITH LEADERSHIP LACKAWANNA, WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE LIKE, AND HOW HAVE YOU STAYED CONNECTED SINCE GRADUATION?
Oddly enough, Nunzi, a former Leadership Core Prgram alum, nudged me to get involved with the program. Simply from the standpoint of bettering and reflecting upon things about myself - I felt that I had a wonderful experience in the core program. Nikki, the speakers, and my classmates were all wonderful individuals, and I wouldn't trade any of that for anything. The relationships you make in the program mean the most to me - I have stayed connected with individuals in the group whether it be group chats via text, or social media. It's great to see how everyone is doing post-graduation!
